So, what I do now
[info]pogat
I don't write in my journal long time and my last posts were very short. I try to explain you what I did all this time.
First of all, I watched movie: "doctor Zhivago", "Basic Instinct", "Slaughterhouse-Five, or The Children's Crusade", little topics about modern art and of course free courses of Stanford University.
Last time I feel myself no good and have some problem with my motivation, but now I feel myself better and I start work.
Today I learn French, and improve my English. So now I can say in French not only "How do you do?", I can ask about nationality, and can explain what I do. I can conjugate verbs "etre (be)", "chercher (look for)", "arriver (come)", "presenter (present)" and "demender (request)". French is very funny language. I will try to write about this more detail in my next topic.
In physics I learn topological insulators, but now I cannot write something intelligible about this.
My theory of group feel itself no good, but and no bad too :)
So, see you :)

P.S.: I'm probably the only one who doesn't know what is topological insulator :(

1984
[info]pogat
At last Today I saw a film "1984". When I was at school we studied this novel of George Orwell and found the main idea of it very interesting but I wasn't read it. So I decide to improve this dereliction and to watch the film by this novel. I found this film very interesting and magnificent and I recommend everyone to see it.

About book and writer
[info]pogat
I very like Kurt Vonnegut. I think that he is very brilliant writer. My favorite book of him is "The Sirens of Titan", I also like the "Slaughterhouse-Five, or Children's Crusade", but I think that the most nifty of his works is "The Big Space Fuck". I like this text because it is very frank and very witty.
It is a pity that he died. :(

Depression

Today I have a little depression because I don't believe in my English :(
But I try to be strong and to teach and to use it again and again.
Can you support me?

About group theory :)
[info]pogat
How I said, I learn Theory of Groups, and I want to say a few words about this theory. I think it is very nice and easy and, the main, very useful theory, it has many applications (for me exactly the main interest offer it apply in physics). What I can tell you about Theory of Groups now. First of all I tell you about structure of groups. Group is a set together with a law of composition which is associative (a law can be product or multiply, if group is Abilene (operation is commutative) we can tell about addition operation, but more often use term product) and this operation is closed on the set; all groups has identity element and all elements of group has inverted element.
The most interesting that this theory so general that try explain itself. We know that before this theory we have another general theory like a Theory of Sets (founder Cantor) but this theory has some problem exactly when try explain itself (famous paradox of Cantor: "set of all sets") in theory of group we to spare of this difficulties.
The founders of Groups Theory were Abel and Galois.
The structure of this theory:
I see two general building block: Abstract Groups Theory and Representation theory.
In Abstract Groups Theory we study structure of groups, and have a nice terminology like: group, order of group (finite - infinite), cyclic groups, order of element (finite - infinite), subgroups, normal group, cosets, quotient group, Homomorphism, Automorphism, Isomorphism and ect.
In Representation theory we study Homomorphisms of groups, for example if group is finite order, we study homomorphism on GLn(R) - group (n-dimensional General Linear group, or real square matrices (n by n) with determinant unequal 0), if group is infinite order we have homomorphism on Lie group.
Ok :) I know that in this topic I didn't give a constructive information about Groups Theory, so sorry, if you want know more about it read any book about Groups Theory :)
Good lack :)

And some video about Groups Theory

So, I think I must start
[info]pogat
Hello everyone.
Today I am going to start to write a little topics in my journal, and I do it every day and I do it in English, because now I live in France, and work in Institute and have some research in my lab, and I must speak in English with my colleagues. I live in this country nearly month, and I have many examples when I did stupid things because I didn't understand what my colleagues tell me.
During this month I avoid meeting with the people who can speak English, and very nervous when they try to speak with me. So I think I must stop this, especially I have opportunity to use my English in my work, in my journal and in my life. Every day I read some interesting articles and they are very difficult for understanding with my English level, but I do that, I listen (not often) BBC, and I watch open lectures of Yale and Harvard. So, a little practice in write not impede me.
So, if you see something incorrect in my topic you can leave comment, or don't do that (solve it for yourself) but I will be very gratitude if you do that.
Good buy - this is a joke :D
Good bye :)

P.S. You can listen pronunciation English in different counties in this movie, you can believe me pronunciation in France exactly of this kind
